There are glass sliding doors and curtains to create some privacy between the main bedroom and anyone sleeping on the sofa or trundle.
The Barwon Suite is the third suite along the verandah.
Accessibility Information
Barwon is our most accessible suite with level access from the street and throughout the suite. It has a level entry shower space with a rain shower head and a handheld shower head. There are grab rails in the shower. An over toilet aid is available upon request. This suite may be suitable for most manual wheelchair users however please get in contact for more information.
Bedding Configuration
The Barwon Suite can be made up as a King bed or twin singles, plus there is an additional sofa/trundle in the lounge which has two full size single mattresses. In total, the suite can sleep 4. You can close sliding doors and curtains between the lounge and bedroom.
The main bed height is 550mm. The clearance under the main bed is 85mm. The distance from the left of the bed to the wall is 1800mm, and the distance from the right of the bed to the wall is 1200mm. The distance from the foot of the bed to the sliding doors is 900mm.
The top level of the sofa/trundle is 670mm. The trundle is at floor level.
Kitchen
Barwon has the largest kitchen, with a long bench along the back wall, meaning several people can spread out along it at one time. The bench is 930mm high, the reach to the sink tap is 500mm. The controls for the rangehood are 1500mm from the floor, and set back 250mm from the front of the bench.
Like all our suites, each comes with a microwave and a plug-in induction cooktop. A mini fridge with freezer is tucked under the bench along with a frypan, pots, mini toaster oven, and toaster.
Some items normally stored in the cupboard above the rangehood such as wine glasses may be out of reach for a wheelchair user but we are happy to move anything down to a lower level during your stay if you let us know.
Bathroom
- The bathroom door width is 780mm.
- The clearance between the sink and the wall is 700mm.
- The toilet seat height is 420mm.
- An over toilet aid can be supplied upon request.
- The shower cavity is 1100mm x 850mm.
- The shower is level entry access.
- A shower chair can be provided upon request (no wheels).
- The shower has dual shower heads, one rain shower head and one handheld shower head.
- The mounting bracket for the handheld shower head is 1100mm from the floor.
- The height from the floor to the shower head control switch is 1700mm and we can switch this over to handheld in advance upon request if you cannot reach the switch.
- The shower tap height is 1020mm from the floor.
- The shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser buttons are 1530mm from the floor.
A shower/toilet chair can be supplied upon request. There are no wheels on the shower chair.
The horizontal section of the grab rail is 800mm from the floor.
Light Switches
Light switches for ceiling lights are 1260mm from the floor.
Door widths
The front door width is 900mm. The bathroom door width is 780mm. The door handle heights are 1200mm.
