Check-in is from 2:30pm Monday - Saturday.
We don't normally offer check-ins on Sundays, however if we make an exception, check-in is from 4pm.
You can always call to check if your room is ready earlier if you are nearby or running early.
Check-out is at 10:30am Monday - Saturday.
Late check-outs are usually available on Sundays (as we don't usually allow Sunday check-ins). On Sundays, check-out is 12pm.
When it's time to go, simply leave your key in the door.
The Terminus Hotel is the only place in Forrest open for dinner 7 days per week. It is located at 2 Station Street, Forrest. From the Guesthouse, turn left down Grant Street, then turn right at Station Street. It will be on your right.
The Forrest Brewery is open for dinner Thursday - Saturday. Seasonal hours apply so it's always best to check with them directly. In peak periods or event weekends, it's best to book a table in order to avoid disappointment.
In nearby towns, such as Colac (25 minutes) or Apollo Bay (35 mins) there are many other restaurants and take away shops which are open 7 days per week.
We accepts furry friends on a case by case basis. Please talk to us about the option of bringing your dog first.
Our suites are beautiful and cosy. If you have a dog that likes to chew furniture, or barks at every noise, this location is not for you. We have lots of wildlife that come onto our property including koalas, foxes, echidnas and birds. Guests come here to enjoy the peaceful surrounds so your dog needs to be able to contain their excitement and not disturb other guests.
Please do not leave your pet unattended on our property during your stay as they can become distressed.
You will need to bring your pet bedding, and any other equipment you will need.
Please note: there are no fences on this property out to the main road so you need to responsible for your pet's safety at all times.
Please also be aware that if you intend to take your dog with you on a mountain bike ride, locals have lost their dogs who ran off after snakes and other animals. This is a real risk which has had sad outcomes before, so please only take your dog on the trails if they are not in the habit of doing a runner.
Any damage caused by your pet will need to be paid for. If you bring your pet, then you agree to pay any costs incurred.
That all being, we have had many beautiful dogs, big and small, enjoy staying here with their owners.

There are a range of activities nearby such as hiking and bushwalking, mountain bike riding, high ropes courses and zip-lines, segway tours, fungi tours, platypus tours, foodie trails, wineries, breweries etc etc... the list is huge.

There is no petrol station in the town of Forrest.
The closest petrol station is at Winchelsea or Colac. It is wise to fill up before driving to us.
If you run out of petrol, Forrest Hire Bikes often have a jerry can of fuel which you can purchase from them.
The Forrest General Store has a range of groceries items, including a large array of local produce.
The General Store is open 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 5pm on weekends.
Outside those hours, you can drive to Colac where there is a Woolworths store open till 10pm each night.
Not currently. Due to COVID-19 and additional cleaning requirements, we decided to stop offering breakfast provisions and simplify our hosting experience.
If you have made a booking when we were still offering breakfast included, it will be provided for you but no new bookings will include breakfast.
