Hopetoun Falls, Beech Forest

The gorgeous Hopetoun Falls are located 21km from Forrest in Beech Forrest. It takes just under an hour but it's a beautiful drive. Turtons Track is very windy and restricted to 40km due to the lack of vision around corners and the road is not wide. If you get travel sick, you will need to take motion sickness medication to tackle this. The last part of the drive is a gravel road which can throw up a lot of dust in summer so take care.

The carpark is a small gravel area that can only fit about 8 cars. There is a viewing platform only about 30m from the carpark where you can see the falls from above. The falls are best viewed at the bottom however.

The track is very steep and has approximately 200 steps with a hand rail. While children aged 4+ can complete the walk, they may tire quickly on the uphill. Younger kids will most likely need to be carried. The total walking distance is approximately 1km return. Allow up to one hour for the walk.

Down the bottom there are some boardwalk sections before arriving at the viewing platform.
