Erskine Falls

Erskine Falls is located close to Lorne, about a 40min drive from Forrest Guesthouse. The falls are one of the most visited falls in the Otways due to the close proximity to Lorne.

Although the walk is often busy with walkers, they are a beautiful set which can be viewed from above after a 5 minute walk.

For those wanting a closer look from the base, a 220m walk down approximately 240 steps will take you to the lower viewing platform. The walk can be completed in about 30mins.

The walk down to the base is very steep and is guaranteed to get your heart rate going on the way back up. There is a handrail but it can be slippery when wet.

There is also an additional set of falls, Straw Falls which can be accessed with an additional walk from the base of Erskine Falls but you need to cross the creek and follow signage. It is signed as experienced walkers only, however it is not that hard after you cross the creek.
