About Us

Inside our RestaurantForrest Country Guesthouse is a family run classic country retreat set in the quaint little township of Forrest, Gateway to the Otway National Park. Our guesthouse is adorned with original pieces of furniture and effects collected throughout the district. Every room enjoys a view over our rambling cottage garden.

From the sunny verandah you can enjoy some much needed relaxation, take afternoon tea, or marvel at the native birdlife. Or, on a cooler day, simply enjoy sitting by the log fire in the restaurant with a good book. Our restaurant offers generous country cooked breakfasts, lunch, morning/afternoon teas and dinner.

Oh what a gem of a place! But, it's the people who make it! This is our 2nd time, and this time we stayed. Thankyou for good food, fun, and the Indian and Nautical rooms topped it all off. Thanks for the hospitality, and we'll spread the word!

What a wonderful experience we've had. We felt like family from the moment we walked in. We truly enjoyed Wendy's parents and her dad's tales. All in all we are reluctant to leave.
